Avondale Real Estate
Avondale is one of the nation’s fastest growing cities, and with its commercial development that includes everything from spas to a two-mile auto mall, it’s easy to see why. More than 76,000 people live in Avondale, which is 10 miles west of downtown Phoenix. The population is expected to reach 120,000 in 2020.
Avondale is home to several Valley treasures, including Friendship Park and Phoenix International Raceway (PIR). Residents of neighboring towns flock to the ball fields and playgrounds on the huge complex at Friendship Park, but few Valley draw as many out-of-town visitors like the NASCAR events held at PIR.
The majority of Avondale real estate is close to shopping and the major freeways. Many of the developments have been built in the last five to eight years, and as the population grew, new schools and city services were developed to serve residents.
