The six square miles that Tolleson occupies contain a variety of commercial and residential development. Ten miles west of downtown Phoenix on the south side of I-10, this small town serves 5,000 residents and is home to big time private sector employers, like Sundland Beef, Kroger’s, Albertson’s, Salt River Project and Sysco Foods.
Situated near the I-10, Loop 101 corridor, Tolleson residents can take advantage of the retail and parks in neighboring Avondale (Tolleson has three parks of its own). The city’s children are served by a unified school district, a rarity in Arizona. Many of the homes here have beautiful views of the Estrella Mountains and easy access to the freeways.
